Volunteer Requirement 2026/27

Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club — Volunteer & Fee Acknowledgment (2026/27 Season)

By registering my swimmer(s) with the Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Mandatory Volunteer Program
I understand that the Club operates a credit-based mandatory volunteer program, and that my family's required volunteer point commitment is determined by my highest-registered swimmer's group, as follows:

I understand that families with multiple registered swimmers are assessed points based on the swimmer in the highest group only, and that no additional points are assessed if a swimmer advances to a higher group during the season.

2. Volunteer Fee
I understand that a volunteer fee equal to $1 per assigned point will be charged to my account at the time of registration, and that this fee will be refunded in full once my family's assigned points have been completed. I understand that points must be completed in full to receive a refund, that credits earned in excess of my family's assigned points are not refunded or carried forward, and that any unearned points will be reconciled and the corresponding fee retained by the Club at the end of the season.

3. Officials Requirement
I understand that families with a swimmer registered in Junior Novice or above are required to have one family member complete a Swim Ontario officials clinic (Level I or higher).

4. Tag Day
I understand that Tag Day is a mandatory club fundraising event, and that families who do not participate will be charged a fee to their account on November 1, in the amount of $100 (Channel Kittens, Junior Novice) or $200 (Senior Novice through Gold).

5. Recordkeeping
I understand that it is my responsibility to record my family's volunteer service and to retain documentation in case a secondary submission is required, and that volunteer credit will be tracked through my family's Pool Queue account.

6. Swimming Ontario / Swimming Canada Registration
I understand that Swimming Ontario / Swimming Canada registration fees are due in full at the time of registration and are non-refundable, and that I am required to complete a separate Swimming Ontario waiver, sent by email via Sportslomo following registration.

7. Refund Policy
I understand and agree to the Club's refund policy:

• Meet fees are non-refundable within two weeks of the meet's start date.
• Group registration fees are refunded on a pro-rated basis, calculated from the date the Club receives written notice of withdrawal.
• Swimming Ontario / Swimming Canada fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

8. Acknowledgment
I have read and understood the above and agree to be bound by these terms as a condition of my swimmer's registration with the Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club for the 2026/27 season.
