Mandatory Tag Day fundraiser for all swimmers.
Tag Days October 25 & 26, 2019 is almost here!
For all our new families and perhaps some of our veteran families, below is the information as to the questions of where, when, why. A n email was sent to you on Monday this week with the schedule.
As of today, we have almost all our swimmers signed up to various venues throughout the city of Orillia, which to me is a great job done by all our parents and 140 swimmers.
Where to meet:
In Orillia: The meeting place is the house next to the “UPPER” parking lot of the YMCA . (I believe the colour of the house is grey)
IN WASHAGO: FRIDAY NIGHT: One of our board members will meet the 2 swimmers at fresh canoe to sign you in and give you your tag day box. There will be snack, juice and pizza.
IN WASHAGO: SATURDAY: We will have a parent volunteer (Tom) at 3403 Muskoka Street. (2nd house from the corner of 169). He will sign you in, give you your tag day box. You will need to return to this location to sign out, receive your promissory cheque and drop off the tag day box. There will be snack, juice and pizza available for you once you are finished your tagging.
WHEN: I would come about 15 minutes before your assigned time, which will give you time to pick up your “channel cats” box and to confirm your attendance. Once you are finished your shift, you will return to the house to sign out and pick up your tag day promissory cheque.
Why: Your swimmer or you may have the question asked WHY TAG DAYS?: “we are fundraising to help offset the cost of the pool rental and other cost which may arise during our swim season.”
This is one of our best fundraisers, which requires very minimal expense, so I hope all the swimmers have a great time with their fellow team mates. Bring lots of Cats Team Spirit and if you have any Cats Gear Please wear it.
Adult Volunteers Needed: If you are interested in helping out with tag day counting and rolling coins, please email channelcatfundraising@gmail.
If you have any questions regarding your time slot, please feel free to contact me. I can be reached by email, I have done my best to match everyone up with a partner, but some cancellations have already occurred. If you see on the list your little swimmer is alone at his/her location Please make sure a parent stays with them especially if your swimmer if under the age of 13. IF YOU NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES, PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ASAP!!! Toby-Ann Rainville Channel Cats Fundraising channelcatfundraising@gmail.
If you can’t find your name on the list, then you need to contact me asap so I can fit you in somewhere. If you are a swimmer, you need to sign up! THIS IS OUR ONLY MANDATORY PARTICIPATION FUNDRAISER!
There will be food and drinks for the swimmers to grab something when they sign in as well as when they sign out. Mornings, we usually have muffins, timbits and juice boxes. For the afternoon shifts, there will be pizza and juice.
Thank you again and look forward to seeing everyone October 25 & 26.
